The Prada Shoulder Bag That Will Rule This Fall

One of the biggest handbag trends of the Spring 2024 season has been bags with belted details. First spotted on the runways, once Spring and Summer collections started to hit stores, it was clear that this trend would be big.

Around the same time, designers were showing their Fall 2024 collections, which featured more of the same, with riffs on the belted trend mixed with utility-inspired details.

This Fall, Prada has taken one of its belted spring bags and given it a very on-trend makeover: suede. I loved this bag at first sight, and its range of soft shades felt perfect for the warm weather months.

Still, despite its cool vibe, understated elegance, and of-the-moment east/west silhouette, there wasn’t an excessive amount of buzz surrounding this bag.

In suede, the bag oozes an effortless vibe with its slouchy, soft body, and I am even more obsessed. Plus, its relaxed grab-and-go feel works incredibly well with 2024’s biggest trend in the handbag world: bag accessories.

While this bag is lust-worthy all on its own, it begs to be dressed with tricks and charms—and I am simply head-over-heels in love.

It has been on my radar since I first saw it at Prada’s SoHo store earlier this spring, and the suede iteration is quickly making its way to the top of my list as we inch closer to fall. This bag has all the makings of a fall hit, and I’ve already seen it pop up a few times mid-scroll in both the medium and large sizes.

The bag’s elongated straps will sit comfortably over the shoulder, which is how it’s intended to (and should) be worn. Still, Prada has indulged us with versatility, offering the option of a longer strap. The price is $2,600 via Saks for the medium size, which is currently sold out on Prada.com.
