Prada Redefines The Men's Bag For Spring 2027

Few collections inspire conversation and introspection in the way Prada’s do, and the brand’s most recent menswear collection, presented over the weekend at Fondazione Prada, does just that.

Designed by powerhouse co-creative directors Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons, Prada’s Spring 2027 menswear show begins with the idea of choice and how clothes are deeply rooted in our lives. A wardrobe is made up of more than just things to wear; rather, it is deeply meaningful—the foundation of the self—and this collection refines that idea.

Pieces are designed to be worn and explored through the lens of the wearer, and while many looks are shown as sets, the mixing and matching of prints and fabrics reiterates the notion that this collection is meant to inspire self-expression.

The Modern Prada Wardrobe

What Prada continues to do so well, season after season, is refine and refresh its heritage codes and brand signifiers, reshaping and reaffirming their importance. This collection felt both entirely new and inherently Prada.

Layering has been an integral part of the conversation at Prada, but this season felt more stripped back, with silhouettes focused on form and accessories focused on function. That brings us to the bags, of which there were many—but not in the way you might think.

Prada Re-Nylon remains an integral part of the Pradasphere, this time reimagined as pouches clipped to belt loops in a variety of shapes, from square and rectangular to the classic Prada Triangle. Elsewhere, mini duffles in soft calfskin or bright Re-Nylon appear, also affixed to their wearers, proving that bags—like the rest of a wardrobe—truly are an extension of ourselves.
