The Coach Jelly Tabby Will Give You All The Nostalgic Feels

Every year like clockwork, sometime at the end of March, the first warm weather day hits, and New Yorkers set their sights on summer. That very just day happened. Last Tuesday, to be exact, and just like that, much of the city came out of hibernation. It was only a Tuesday, but despite the week ahead, the table-lined streets of downtown Manhattan were full of people enjoying dinner and drinks and laughing into the sunset for the first time this year, myself included.

The energy on that first warm day after a long winter is unlike anything else, and once that day has come and gone, my mind is instantly done with winter (even though the temps will inevitably drop a few more times). Like me, brands are already well into spring mode, Coach included, and the latest Tabby bags will have you dreaming of summer.

A New Addition

In the last couple of years, we’ve seen a major rise in the popularity of Coach amongst younger Millennials and Gen Z. The Coach of the early aughts that we all knew (and loved) truly is back. The brand’s new aesthetic reads classic Coach reimagined for the now, and for Spring and Summer 2023, Coach is revisiting its Tabby Bag, which has become a staple amongst fans of the brand on TikTok and beyond. Even Megs and I are fans of the Tabby, and the latest version is a fun take on an archival silhouette.

I Want Candy

First seen on the runway at the brand’s Spring/Summer 2023 presentation, the Coach Jelly Tabby reimagines the structured shape of an archival Coach design that dates back to the 1970s, adding a fun, seasonal iteration to the Tabby line of bags. The bag is crafted of PVC, which offers an instant pang of nostalgia (who didn’t love jelly sandals as a kid?!), and the candy-colored hues are an added delight, although I really love the playfulness of the gold.

A cool carry perfect for spring and summer, the Jelly Tabby is defined by its tonal C hardware, push-lock closure, and dual strap options. Carry the Jelly Tabby via its wrist strap or wear it crossbody/over the shoulder with the longer strap. Both are removable. Overall dimensions are 8 3/4″ L x 5 3/4″ H x 3″ W.
