Louis Vuitton Unveils New Bags At Cruise 2014 Show
Nicolas Ghesquiere’s first collection at the helm of Louis Vuitton set a very particular tone for the brand’s bags going forward; they would be recognizably Vuitton, but very different than what predecessor Marc Jacobs designed during his decade-and-a-half leading the French leather goods behemoth. For Louis Vuitton Cruise 2014, unveiled over the weekend in Monte Carlo, that pursuit continues with even more bags.
The bags include the brand new Twist, Pinch and Mask designs, as well as more of the Petit-Malle mini trunk clutches that attracted so much attention on the Fall 2014 runway. These bags help flesh out the line for customers looking to buy into the brand’s new look, which is in keeping with Ghesquiere’s attempts to make the brand’s biggest-selling category a little more subtle while still incorporating Vuitton’s signatures like its monogram and pushlocks. These bags will be available this winter.
