Louis Vuitton Takes Us On A Trip For Fall 2025

Luxury fashion is experiencing major upheaval, and the business’s tumultuous nature shows no signs of slowing. That said, it makes sense that designers are stripping it back, returning to inspirations that revolve around community and shared lived experiences.

While at Valentino, that meant a public restroom; at Louis Vuitton, it meant the platform of a train, a place where people from all walks of life converge. Nicolas Ghesquière was inspired by the many emotions that take place there. The anxiousness of time passing, the sadness of saying goodbye, or the joyous celebration of reunion. The excitement of departing for adventure or the tranquility of returning home.

A Sense of Adventure at Louis Vuitton Fall 2025

To further emphasize its theme, Louis Vuitton held the Fall 2025 show at L’Étoile du Nord, a stunning 19th-century building that was once the headquarters of a train company. Inspired by the adventure and enchantment of it all, Ghesquière presented a collection of ready-to-wear representing the various archetypes you’d find in a station going to and from.

Of course, the collection is heavy on outerwear, with rain-slickers and technical jackets sitting alongside trenches and capes cinched with canvas belt bags. Wardrobe essentials like denim and leather are given the Ghesquière touch, while the traditional tracksuit is reinvented.

The Bags of Louis Vuitton Fall 2025

As for the bags, this collection is primed for Louis Vuitton’s signatures, especially those rooted in travel, like the iconic Keepall and the Alma. Other silhouettes include hand-carried trunks, a distorted version of the Petite Malle, and an oversized Dauphine Soft.

As for newness, collectors will go crazy for the distinct Etui Ukulele bag. Fall 2025 also introduces the wearable new L’Express bag, which echos the timelessness and clean lines of the Keepall. L’Express arrives in bold color combinations and neutrals alike, defined by its functionality offering multiple ways of carrying, and a range of sizes.
