Louis Vuitton's Fall 2017 Bags Fall Exactly In Line With The Precent The Brand Has Set Recently

If you’ve been paying any attention at all to the evolution of Louis Vuitton under the creative direction of Nicolas Ghesquiere, then none of the new bags on the brand’s Fall 2017 runway in Paris should have come as any surprise to you. This was a collection that built out variations of the Vuitton’s existing, successful bag ideas instead of establishing any new themes or dropping any new blockbusters.

The collection did include one all-new bag, which was a sharp-cornered day satchel with double top handles and a front lock. It was my least favorite part of the new collection–something about the trim and proportions made it feel vaguely like something you buy from a cart at the mall. The new top handle version of the City Steamer made up for it, though, as did all the glittery little Petite Malle clutches. Check out all the bags from the show below.
