Did Jonathan Anderson Just Bid An Artful Farewell With Loewe's Fall 2025 Presentation?
The rumors continue to swirl surrounding Jonathan Anderson’s tenure at Loewe, and rightfully so. Not only did Loewe forgo its theatrical runway show, which has remained one of the most anticipated of PFW for seasons now, but Anderson himself posted a tribute to his 11 years at the brand’s helm a day before the presentation.
Nothing has been confirmed by Anderson or Loewe, but if what has been rumored is what is actually to come, then Jonathan Anderson just said the most beautiful goodbye to Loewe.
A Lavish Tribute to Loewe’s Heritage and Craft
Fall 2025 was displayed in presentation format this season, but in true Anderson form, it was just as dramatic as ever. Held at Paris’ Hôtel de Maisons, the collection was ideated with inspiration taken from a scrapbook and the memorabilia that comes with it in mind. It is defined by the artisanal details that remain at the heart of the Loewe brand.

Ready-to-wear explores proportions, playing with typical silhouettes to make them atypical and eye-catching. Details are an ode to Loewe’s most important codes, emphasizing the craft that has inspired Anderson all these years, remaining at the heart of the Loewe brand. Spliced leather gives a tactile finish to leatherwear, while intricate draping and voluminous cocoon coats feel inherent to Anderson’s time at the House.
Bags and More Introduce a New Collaboration
This season, Loewe also introduces a collaboration with the Josef & Anni Albers Foundation, allowing fashion fans to step into the artful world of two pioneers of 20th-century modernism. Though their mediums differed, the couple’s work was largely defined by their shared approach to color and form. Works from the couple were seen throughout the presentation and also appeared on a range of ready-to-wear and bags.
This season’s bags also play on Loewe’s heritage, with a large focus on the recently reinvigorated Puzzle bag. The new Featherlight Puzzle appears alongside intricate new iterations of the Squeeze bag and Flamenco Purse, which is crafted to match pieces from the ready-to-wear collection.
