Introducing The New Louis Vuitton Slouchy Bag
It’s clearly not a secret that I love bags. Hence, I’ve been in this industry for nearly twenty years now talking about them.
Many brands were part of my trajectory into this space, and Louis Vuitton will always be one of the big ones. The big brand that made me fall in love with bags, the big brand that I would peer into its windows and dream of one day owning one of its wares, and the big brand that I can say was my first premiere designer purchase.
Speaking of which, my Louis Vuitton Wapity Bag (which I bought from eLuxury—that is a throwback, trust me—for $255 in 2006) was my first Louis Vuitton purchase and the first big purchase I made from ad dollars from this site.
When I tell you it is special to me, it’s really special. Also, I know Louis Vuitton didn’t ask me, but I will give unwarranted advice and tell them to bring the Wapity back but elongate it just enough to fit my phone.
At that point, LV can just take my money.
Available Exclusively Online
This was my long-winded introduction to the brand-new Louis Vuitton Slouchy Bag.
Right now, you can pre-order this bag exclusively online, and the reason I rambled, leading into sharing this bag, is that it sends me right back into those very early-day vibes for me. The Slouchy feels both modern and nostalgic all at once, and it’s one of those bags that sparks that little part of me that will forever feel giddy about bags.

The bag features the iconic LV Monogram, so if you are not a logo lover, this version isn’t for you.
There are two sizes, the smaller PM and the larger MM, and the bag is intended to give you precisely what its name suggests: a slouchy appeal. The coated canvas will give a bit with time anyhow, but in this style, it allows the bag to slouch downward and sit nicely when carried over the shoulder or by hand.

A significant design touch is the padlock name tag that sits on one side of the strap, very similar to the new Low Key Bag. It seems this may be a returning theme for the house that ties back to the brand’s heritage and craftsmanship.
Other noteworthy details include the cowhide leather trim, double zip closure, gold-toned hardware, interior zipped pocket, and textile lining. Because of the way the bag can sit, it fits very comfortably on my side under my arm without bulging out or falling off my shoulder. This bag is light and easy to use and is in line with the trend of many new LV bags offering a less rigid structure and more malleable shapes.
(Semi-?)Charmed Bag Life
Accessorizing your accessories remains a major trend in the bag world. While on one end, we have the whole quiet luxury push, on the other, we have the customization push, and I love both extremes.

I got into bags because they have always been a natural extension of my outfit and a way to express myself, so additional charms only further that.
Louis Vuitton offers everything from scarves (which I am still working on how I prefer to tie onto a bag) to bag charms that are either for keychains or to hang from the bag. The Slouchy has handy spots that allow for personalization, and I like having fun with my bag.
