Introducing The Dior D-Journey Bag

I am, first and foremost, a casual bag girl. Always have been. Over my twenty-year time in the bag-specific industry, I have expanded my collection to contain a bit of everything, but at my core, a laid-back daily bag will forever be my go-to.

When I first saw the new D-Journey Bag on the Dior Spring-Summer 2025 runway, I knew it spoke to me. There are so many cornerstone designs from the House of Dior, from the Lady Dior and the Saddle to the Book Tote, but the casual nature of this new design speaks to me as a bag lover.

This is the new Dior silhouette, which melds elegance with functionality.

A First Look at the D-Journey

Our bags are some of our most loyal companions on every journey we take, from the daily school drop-offs to the grocery store to our travels and days out with our friends. Each journey, from the mundane to the adventurous, has had a bag by my side.

For this reason, the Dior D-Journey fits right into my lifestyle. The bag is available in three sizes: small, medium, and large, and the relaxed silhouette allows you to wear it close to the body as a crossbody or over-the-shoulder bag. Expanding on the functionality, the central compartment is generously sized and easy to fill with your items, and there are some handy hidden pockets on either side of the East/West body as well.

Along with the different sizes, different materials are offered, including full leather with cannage stitching and two canvas variations. Because of the slouch of the shape, I prefer the Dior logo canvas with the leather accents.

Small elements throughout the design denote it as a Christian Dior bag, from the CD hardware closure on the adjustable strap to the Christian Dior nameplate on the pull tab.

The simplicity of the design speaks to me, reminding me of past bags I’ve owned and adored in my over two-decades-long journey in the bag world. Each bag has told a story in my life, a story of that specific time and need from the handbag of my choosing, and the new D-Journey line from Dior brings back a nostalgic memory of some of my favorite past bags.
