Introducing Louis Vuitton Artycapucines Chapter 4

The Capucines, arguably Louis Vuitton’s most popular all-leather bag, was first introduced in Fall 2013. Named after Louis Vuitton’s original Maison, which was located on rue Neuve-des-Capucines, the Capucines was launched during a transitional period for Louis Vuitton. The brand was shifting its collections to include a greater selection of cleaner, minimally branded designs as an alternative to its logo-focused bags. And even as the Maison has shifted back towards an era of Monogram, the Capucines has remained a cornerstone design. When the Capucines Bag was first released, they bore some of Louis Vuitton’s highest price tags.

The classic silhouette has been reimagined in countless ways, season after season. Its clean lines and minimalist design of the Capucines make it the ideal blank canvas. And, for the fourth year in a row, the Maison taps leading artists to bring their unique visions to one of Louis Vuitton’s most timeless, feminine classics with its Artycapucines collection.

Unmatched Creativity

Artycapucines chapter four is a unique testament to the Capucine’s iconic staying power, and this collection further proves that its sleek, clean shape both delights and inspires. This year, six international artists from various parts of the world – Amélie Bertrand, Daniel Buren, Peter Marino, Park Seo-Bo, Ugo Rondinone, and Kennedy Yanko – have taken the Capucines and completely transformed it, bringing their own unique, creative vision to a timeless design.

Each bag in the 2022 Artycapucines Collection will be released in limited edition quantities, 200 to be exact, and available in Louis Vuitton stores worldwide. Discover more via Louis Vuitton.
