Inside Prada’s Fall/Winter 2026 Menswear Show

Prada’s Fall/Winter 2026 menswear show felt calm in a way that was almost surprising. In a season where many collections are trying to make noise, this one didn’t rush to explain itself. Instead, it took its time, and that patience felt intentional.

The show was staged inside the Deposito at Fondazione Prada, a space that usually feels more private than performative. For this collection, it was opened up and stripped back, creating an atmosphere that felt both simple and reflective. To me, it brought it back to the clothes, the accessories, and the bags themselves, and how they connect to our real lives.

What became clear early on is that Prada is thinking about continuity. Not starting over, not chasing something new for the sake of it, but building on what already exists. It is what Prada does best: pulls from house codes and adds modern updates. There was a large focus on trench coats, and as a coat lover, it delighted me.

Layering is everywhere, but it never feels heavy or overdone. Sleeves extend past cuffs, knits sit loosely under structured coats, and lighter pieces peek out where you don’t expect them. These are looks that feel lived-in, even straight off the runway.

Prada Fall/Winter 2026 wasn’t about theatrics. It was subtle yet powerful enough to bring you back for another look. It was the kind of collection that felt classic and instantly wearable, and typically, these are the best collections.

Up Close with the Bags

But really, what we are all here for is the bags. As much as I am a Prada girl, I always check out the men’s collection as well, and this one continued with the classics. The runway bags of this collection were all about worn-in, beautiful leather. They echoed the sentiments from the RTW, being that functional luxury is a statement of its own.

Duffle bags are a key part of this collection, with a focus on supple handcrafted Nappa leather. The shapes range from small to more work-style, including tote and work bags. The color range is practical and rich, from black to graphite, to warmer shades of cocoa and ruby.

The vertical shopper tote was seen in different materials and colorways. There was an East/West tote as well, giving a more briefcase vibe to tie in with the focus on outerwear. The shinier, buffered calfskin on the briefcase offers intense color depth.

A rendition of the Prada Buckle Bag could also be seen, with larger dimensions. The Buckle Bag, in this soft, deconstructed form, is stunning. There’s a color shading that adds depth and richness to the leather while keeping the style very natural. The Buckle Bag is finished with hand stitching, which further embellishes the signature belt detail.
