Gucci Lido 2025 Is Here: New Summer Bags And Marmont Refresh

Living in a year-round tropical climate makes summer-themed collections speak to my soul. While I love a winter-specific drop, I don’t get the same price per wear from those items that I do from their summer counterparts. One of my favorite yearly drops, which I spend time waiting for its arrival, is Gucci Lido.

And it’s here!

Unsurprisingly, the collection is filled with raffia, which signifies summer with its light and airy material. Seaside touches are evident in other accessories and jewelry, and some old and new classics are updated in summer hues.

I’m partial to this rendition of the Gucci Jackie, but I’m equally drawn to this tote bag, which feels like the ideal summer beach carry. The collection embodies all the House’s classic elements with warm-weather touches and excites me.

I suppose part of my affinity for bags is the feelings that come with them—each holds a specific memory of a moment in my life, and I’m anticipating summer and what’s to come.

While this isn’t the entire collection, it is many of my favorite items, which is a growing list.

The New Gucci Marmont: A Classic, Updated

Speaking of newness, Gucci’s Marmont line holds a steady and loyal following in the bag world. With subtle updates, the new Gucci Marmont has arrived.

Some updated elements to this beloved collection include a slender pocket on the back of the medium and larger silhouettes, and the hardware and sliding chain are now offered in polished gold or silver finishes.

The GG Marmont bag’s two capital letters refer to the archival double G logo, which was first introduced in 1970 and pays homage to Guccio Gucci. Another fun fact is that the family had the tradition of giving the eldest child a name that starts with the letter G.

For the refresh, new colorways and multiple sizes were added. The Marmont remains a steadfast, beloved line that continues to expand and change.
