Drop Two Of Louis Vuitton’s Coveted Collaboration With Nigo Is Here

Late last year, Louis Vuitton Men’s Artistic Director Virgil Abloh announced that his first collaboration at the luxury French design house would be with Japanese designer and DJ Nigo. Known for his streetwear brand Human Made, Abloh spoke to Vogue about the streetwear pioneer, stating “me being at Louis Vuitton is directly attributable to work Nigo’s done in the past”. A collab between the two friends was inevitable, and the collection’s first drop debuted earlier this summer to much fanfare. Following the collaboration’s second drop on August 28th, we now have a look at the duo’s latest pieces for Louis Vuitton.

The Louis Vuitton x Nigo collaboration perfectly marries the house’s iconic codes with Nigo’s individual approach to style and fashion. For this collection, Abloh introduced a new take on the brand’s storied Damier checks. Bags in this collection incorporate classic monogram with an updated and giant take on LV’s Damier Canvas.

The collection includes some of Louis Vuitton’s most classic and recognizable styles, though the duo has expertly fused together both Nigo’s individual style and Abloh’s modern takes on Louis Vuitton’s most classic house emblems. Beloved bags are reinvented, resulting in highly-covetable and insanely cool new bags. LV² branded detailing and finishes appear throughout the collection, as well as graphic detailing bearing the phrase ‘LV Made’, which is, of course, a take on Nigo’s own brand Human Made.
